ZenMaid costs $19, $39, or $49 a month for the owner’s account, plus a monthly fee for every other person on your team: $4 each on Starter, $14 each on Pro, and $24 each on Pro Max. Text message reminders are billed separately in bundles starting at $14 for 125 messages. There is no free plan, but every plan has a 14-day trial with no credit card. Prices verified September 8, 2026 against ZenMaid’s pricing page and help center.

This breakdown is for solo cleaners and small crews deciding whether ZenMaid fits their budget. For how ZenMaid stacks up against alternatives, see our best scheduling software for cleaning businesses guide.

ZenMaid describes Starter as being for “new cleaning businesses just getting started,” Pro for “established businesses ready to scale,” and Pro Max as its most comprehensive option with priority support.

What a solo cleaner pays

A solo cleaner pays $19 a month on ZenMaid Starter, as long as you stay under 40 appointments a month. That is about 9 or 10 cleanings a week. If you add one helper, the total becomes $23 a month.

Starter gives you the scheduling calendar (with dispatch and map views), a limited set of automated email and SMS reminder templates, the cleaner mobile app without GPS, an SOS alert button in the app, invoicing, and online payments through Stripe or Square. Support is chat only.

The 40-appointment cap is the thing to watch. If you clean 3 homes a day, 4 days a week, you are already at 48 and need Pro. At that point the jump from $19 to $39 buys unlimited appointments, checklists, booking forms, and reports.

What a crew of 2 to 5 pays

A small crew on ZenMaid Pro pays $39 plus $14 per person beyond the owner. As of September 8, 2026:

TeamStarterProPro Max
Owner + 1 cleaner$23/mo$53/mo$73/mo
Owner + 2 cleaners$27/mo$67/mo$97/mo
Owner + 3 cleaners$31/mo$81/mo$121/mo
Owner + 5 cleaners$39/mo$109/mo$169/mo
Owner + 5 cleaners + office manager$43/mo$123/mo$193/mo

Starter’s totals look attractive, but a crew of three or more will pass 40 appointments a month in the first week, so Pro is the realistic floor for a crew. Note that an office manager counts as a paid profile just like a cleaner.

The per-person fee triples between Pro and Pro Max ($14 to $24). For a team of five, that is $60 a month more for PTO tracking, customer ratings, Mailchimp and Zapier integrations, data export, unbranded booking forms, and priority support. Most crews of 2 to 5 do not need those yet.

Extra costs to budget for

ZenMaid’s plan price is not your total cost. Budget for these as well:

  • SMS messages. Every plan says SMS charges are not included. ZenMaid’s help center lists bundles starting at $14 for 125 messages, with discounts at higher volume. A crew sending one reminder and one “on our way” text per visit for 120 visits a month would need about 240 messages.
  • Payment processing. Online payments run through Stripe or Square, and you pay that processor’s standard card fees. ZenMaid does not add its own markup according to its public pages, but confirm during your trial.
  • Sales tax. Depending on your state or province, tax may apply to the subscription.

There is no setup fee. ZenMaid states it will import your existing client list for free, and Pro and Pro Max include a free one-to-one optimization call.

Billing, trial, and cancellation

ZenMaid bills month to month with no contract as of September 8, 2026. Its FAQ states you can cancel any time from account settings, and your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. Annual plans are available on request, according to the help center, but no annual discount is published.

The free trial is 14 days on any plan with no credit card required. You can upgrade directly from account settings at any time and gain the new features immediately.

Is ZenMaid worth it?

ZenMaid is worth it for a cleaning business with recurring clients and one to five cleaners where the owner is drowning in scheduling, reminders, and payroll math. At $53 to $109 a month for a crew on Pro, it costs less than one cleaning a month for most companies and is built specifically for maid services.

It is a weaker fit if you want a customer-facing storefront where new clients book and pay without you, which is where BookingKoala is stronger, or if your team is large and per-person fees start to hurt. Compare the two in our ZenMaid vs BookingKoala guide, or see ZenMaid vs Jobber if you are weighing a general field-service tool.

  • Text messages are extra, starting at $14 for 125 messages.
