For vendors
For software vendors and partners
SmallCrew HQ compares software for very small service businesses. This page explains who reads the site, how we research, how affiliate relationships work here, and the simplest way to reach us.
Who reads SmallCrew HQ
Our readers own very small service businesses: one person doing the work, or an owner with a crew of two to five, sometimes ten. We started with residential cleaning and are expanding to other owner-operated trades, beginning with pet care. Readers are in the United States and Canada, and most are choosing their first or second paid tool rather than replacing an enterprise system.
How we compare software
We research from public sources only: vendor pricing pages, documentation and help centers, changelogs, app-store listings, and verified user reviews. We do not claim hands-on testing. Every price on the site shows the date we verified it and is re-checked on a 60-day cycle. There is no paid placement, and recommendations are segmented by business size (solo, 2 to 5 people, 6 or more), so the same tool can be the right answer for one reader and the wrong one for another. The method is summarized on the about page and described in full on the methodology page. Current entry-level prices live on the software pricing tracker.
The free tools
Four browser-based calculators run alongside the guides. None need an account, and none store data.
- SmallCrew Growth Calculator: projects recurring clients and revenue over 12 months, and the month a second person breaks even.
- SmallCrew Client Value Calculator: what one recurring client is worth in margin and what an owner can spend to win one.
- SmallCrew Software Break-Even Calculator: whether a paid plan pays for itself on the owner's own estimates.
- SmallCrew Cleaning Price Calculator: a flat rate per visit built from time, costs, and target earnings.
The Software Break-Even Calculator carries verified entry-level prices for the tools we compare, each with its verification date, so a vendor's current price is what a reader sees.
How affiliate relationships work here
Some vendor links are affiliate links. Where they are, a short disclosure appears above the first one on the
page, and the full list of relationships is on the disclosure page. A commission
never changes a verdict: vendors without a program are covered on the same terms, at the same depth, as
vendors with one. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored" so the machine-readable label matches
the written one.
Working with us
Corrections. If a price, plan limit, or feature on the site is out of date, send the current source through the contact page. We verify against your public page and update the article and its verification date.
The pricing tracker. To be listed or updated in the software pricing tracker, send the public pricing page and the plan you consider entry-level. Tools appear there once a pricing guide on the site covers them.
Partner programs. We welcome affiliate, referral, and partner programs that fit this audience of solo operators and small crews. Send the program terms and a contact, and we will apply through your normal process. We do not accept payment for placement or reviews, and vendors do not see articles before publication.
