Zenbooker’s unlimited team members make it the cheaper choice for any crew larger than five that does not need GPS, since it stays at $29 where BookingKoala moves to $57. BookingKoala’s answer is that Growing at $57 includes SMS notifications, GPS and clock in and out, checklists, advanced reports, gift cards, and a referral and rating system, none of which Zenbooker lists on its pricing page at any tier. For a crew that wants proof of arrival and a consistent checklist in every home, $57 is the fair comparison, and it is still one of the lowest prices for those features in cleaning software.

Both run cards through Stripe at Stripe’s rates, 2.9% plus 30 cents for online payments as of September 10, 2026, so processing is a wash. See the invoicing guide.

The booking form

This is the heart of both tools, and they take different approaches.

BookingKoala’s form is built for cleaning. The customer picks a service, bedrooms and bathrooms, frequency, and add-ons, sees the price, and books. A customer dashboard lets clients manage their own appointments and cards afterward. Premium adds multi-step forms that ask for a zip code first and daily discounts that promote slow days. If your price list is the bedrooms-by-bathrooms grid from how to price house cleaning services, the form matches it directly.

Zenbooker’s form is a general engine: services with options and price modifiers that adjust the total, custom intake questions, recurring bookings with recurring discounts, coupon codes, and online cancelling and rescheduling. You can build the same bedrooms-and-bathrooms grid from options, and Professional adds price adjustment rules by location, day and time, and how far ahead the job is booked, plus bookable estimates that turn a quote into a booking in a click. For a company with weekend surcharges, last-minute pricing, or different prices per area, Zenbooker’s rules are more capable.

Both let customers see the total before booking, take a card and a deposit, and cancel or reschedule online, which are the essentials from how to let customers book a cleaning online.

Running the crew

BookingKoala is stronger here. Growing includes GPS and clock in and out per job, checklists for providers and teams, an internal chat between office and providers, and the ability for providers to grab unassigned jobs. Zenbooker’s dispatch assigns jobs to providers, who see them in the field app and get SMS and push notifications, and Enterprise adds drive-time-aware availability and auto-assignment to the nearest provider. Zenbooker does not list GPS tracking, a time clock, or checklists at any tier.

For a solo cleaner or a two-person team, that gap barely matters. For a crew of four or five where the owner is not on every job, GPS and checklists are usually the reason to pay BookingKoala’s $57.

Growth tools

BookingKoala Growing includes gift cards, a referral system with automatic credit tracking, and customer ratings, and Premium adds email and SMS campaigns to 5,000 contacts. Those are built-in ways to grow a residential client base, covered in how to run a referral program. Zenbooker offers coupon codes, recurring discounts, and conversion tracking that records how each booking found you, which is useful for judging marketing spend, but no gift cards, referral system, or campaigns are listed.

Serving several areas

Zenbooker is built around territories, each with its own hours, team, services, and prices, and Standard includes two. A cleaning company that serves two cities with different teams and rates sets each up as a territory and the booking page handles the rest. Enterprise’s drive-time scheduling is for regional operators. BookingKoala lists multi-location and time zone support and multi-industry pricing, and prices by providers rather than areas, so a company with many small territories may find Zenbooker’s structure a more natural fit.

Which should you choose?

Choose BookingKoala if:

  • Your business is residential cleaning and you want a form shaped like a cleaning price list.
  • You want GPS, clock in and out, and checklists for a crew, at $57 for up to 15 providers.
  • You want gift cards, referrals, ratings, and later campaigns built in.
  • Your cleaners need the app in another language (Premium).

If that is you, the 30-day BookingKoala trial through our partner link covers Starter and Growing.

Choose Zenbooker if:

  • Your crew is larger than five and you do not need GPS, so $29 covers everyone.
  • You price differently by area, day, or lead time, or you serve several territories.
  • You want bookable estimates and price rules on the booking page itself.
  • You are a booking-first business that is not only cleaning.

For a crew of 2 to 5 doing residential cleaning in one area, BookingKoala is the closer fit, and for a booking-first operation across several areas or with a large crew, Zenbooker is. Zenbooker’s trial is 14 days and BookingKoala’s is 30 days through our partner link, and the best scheduling software guide puts both alongside ZenMaid, Maidily, Jobber, and Housecall Pro.

Both show the customer a real price before booking. BookingKoala's form is built around cleaning: bedrooms, bathrooms, frequency, and add-ons, with a customer dashboard and, on Premium, multi-step forms. Zenbooker's form uses service options and price modifiers that adjust the total, plus price adjustment rules by location, day, and lead time on Professional. BookingKoala is more cleaning-shaped; Zenbooker is more flexible.

Yes. BookingKoala includes a drag-and-drop website builder with a custom domain on every plan. Zenbooker includes a website builder and hosting on every plan. Both are meant to replace a separate website for a small cleaning company.

Which is better for a company serving several cities?

Zenbooker, if the cities need different hours, teams, or prices, because it is built around service territories with their own settings and, on Enterprise, drive-time-aware scheduling. BookingKoala supports multiple locations and time zones but prices by providers rather than areas.
